Nick Saviano
 Nick
Saviano is internationally recognized as one of the top developmental
coaches and coaching educators in the sport of tennis. Over the past 24
years, he has coached and helped develop many male and female players
who have gone on to become some of the best in the world including
Grand Slam winners in both singles and doubles.
Players
Saviano has worked with have won almost every major junior tournament
in the world in singles and doubles, including the U.S. Open,
Wimbledon, French, and Italian Juniors, U.S. National Junior titles in
12’s, 14’s 16’s 18’s, and Orange Bowl titles. In the past three years
alone, Nick’s students have won tournaments in singles on the ATP Tour,
Challenger, and Pro Circuit, 21 ITF Junior events, 11 USTA Super
Nationals, and Eddie Herr and Orange Bowl titles. Saviano formerly
served as United States Tennis Association (USTA) Director of Coaching
for Men’s Tennis, Director of Coaching Education & Sport Science,
and National Coach. He is one of only six professionals in the world to
be a Master Professional with both the Professional Tennis Registry
(PTR) and the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA),
and was named USPTA Touring Coach of the Year in 1993 and USTA Florida
Section Developmental Coach of the Year 2006.
As a player, Saviano
was a top nationally-ranked junior, a two-time Stanford University
All-American, and a world-class ATP tour professional for nine years
achieving rankings in the top 50 in singles with wins over numerous top
10 players.
Saviano is the author of Maximum Tennis: 10 Keys to Unleashing Your On-Court Potential, one of the best selling tennis books in the world, and has written for major publications on all aspects of the game. Saviano
is one of the most sought after speakers on developmental coaching. He
has presented programs and lectures all over the world, including the
U.S., England, France, Spain, Australia, Mexico, Japan, and Ireland.
Today, Nick Saviano resides in Davie, Florida, with his wife Jenny, and three daughters.
Marcus Fluitt
As a former top 10 U.S. National junior player and ATP touring
professional, Marcus knows what it takes to get to the top. He has
worked for the USTA High Performance Training Program, and has worked
with many top National juniors. He previously served as a hitting
partner for Venus and Serena Williams. During his collegiate career, he
played #1 singles and doubles for the University of Kentucky, while
earning a bachelors degree in Sport Management.
Todd Widom
As a native Floridian, Todd began his tennis career here at the Sunrise Tennis Center in 1989. He played junior tennis in Florida from ages 8 to 18. As a junior, he was ranked #1 in the country in the Boys 18’s. He won the Boys 18 National Clay Court Tournament and was a semifinalist in the National Hard Courts. Todd attended the University of Miami on a full tennis scholarship. He finished both his freshman and sophomore year with "All-American" status, and was one of the top 10 college players in the country. He made it to the semifinals of the NCAA his sophomore year and decided to turn professional. Todd was Top 200 in both singles and doubles on the ATP Tour.
Significant wins: Robbie Ginepri, Taylor Dent, Janko Tipsarevic, John Isner, Amer Delic, Vincent Spadea, Simone Bolleli, Wayne Odesnik, Paul Goldstein, Evgeny Korloev, Robert Kendrick and Wesley Moodle.
David Gubler
After an outstanding college tennis career, David played professional tennis from 2003 to 2005. He became a full time member of the Saviano tennis team in 2007 and worked with our top US and International players, as well as touring professionals. David is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
Dina Bajramovic
While playing #1 at Lynn University, Dina achieved NCAA recognition reaching the finals every year of her college career. She played professionally on the women's tour and continues to train and compete on a professional level. Dina has been part of the Saviano Tennis Academy for over two years and is an integral part of our team.
Ben Barrick
Founder of Excel Sports Performance (ESP), Ben is recognized as a leading pioneer in Performance Training for all sports. He has trained over 200 current NFL players over the last 13 years and has been recognized as being one of the foremost speed and strength movement experts in the world. Ben is degreed in Sports Management Exercise and holds a certification in both Performance Nutrition and Sports Conditioning (ISSA).
