High Performance Tennis Academy (SHPTA) is a world-class tennis academy
that employs cutting edge training methods in a highly focused,
personalized tennis-training environment. SHPTA offers full-time and
afternoon developmental programs tailored to accommodate players with a
wide range of personal goals. Whether a player is aspiring to become
world-class, achieve a college scholarship or simply wants to take
their game to the next level, SHPTA can help them achieve their
objectives. All of the programs at SHPTA are under the direction of
Nick Saviano, who not only establishes the content, but is on the
courts on a daily basis working with the players and his coaching
staff.
At SHPTA, players and parents can expect the following:
Skilled, Committed and Caring Coaching Staff:
The staff is personally selected and trained by Director Nick Saviano.
Each coach brings their own individual attributes to the program, while
closely following the SHPTA philosophy of player development.
Commitment to Excellence: A
commitment to excellence can be found in every component of the
program. There is a constant vigilance to elevate our coaching
knowledge and to improve and refine all aspects of our programs.
Establishment of a Developmental Team:
For each student we establish a developmental team with a designated
team leader to facilitate and maximize development. This team typically
includes a coach, the player, and parent/s. This approach assures that
the players have the support system they need to reach their full
potential.
Systematic and Periodized Training:
A systematic and comprehensive approach to training our students is
implemented using “Periodization” concepts so as to achieve the most
efficient and effective developmental program.
Parental Education: Parents are
given educational materials and frequent discussions with staff that
are relevant to helping their child reach their maximum performance
potential.
Court Surface: The players will train on hard and “clay” (Hard-tru) courts depending upon up-coming tournaments.
Player-to-Coach Ratio:
Maximum 4 to 1 player to coach ratio or less at all times. Due to the
limited number of players accepted into the programs, there is a
significant amount of personal time and attention given to each player.
